Challenges 6 and 7 have actually fitted together quite nicely for me though, so hopefully this will be a coherent post.
6th. Something out of your comfort zone but you love it.

I absolutely love this H&M dress. It's pretty and pink, with a sheer overlay and just the right amount of ruching to add a bit of interest without being OTT. I've only worn this dress once, for a Christmas party (you can see pictures here.) When I bought it, I had longer, blonde hair, and when I wore it I felt really pretty and fairy-like. Now however, with shorter, orange hair, as much as I still love the dress itself, I feel like it would look really stupid on me. I know it's silly, but since I've cut my hair shorter, I've been steering away of "girlier" clothes, as I can't quite reconcile them and short hair. If I had longer hair, I'd have this dress on in a flash. This is crazy I know, and I think poofy, princess-y dresses look great on other girls with short hair, Carey Mulligan being a perfect example, but for me personally, this is now out of my comfort zone.
7th. A special occasion outfit.
I've shown you my recent "special occasion" outfits already - wedding guest outfit and my grad ball dress - so I decided to link this challenge to the previous one, and style the pink dress to make it more "in my comfort zone" and something I could wear to a special occasion and feel a bit more like myself.

So naturally this meant chucking on my beloved leather jacket and adding a pair of very high, tough-looking black boots, with some fun, glittery socks in there for good measure.
What do you love that's out of your comfort zone? Have you worked out how to wear it without feeling self-conscious? Let me know in the comments!
